Encrypting and uploading… Scan the QR code on your other device, or type the 3-word token on the receiving device. The link expires in 5 minutes and is deleted immediately after one download.

Your thoughts, your canvas.
In a world of cloud-first apps that harvest your data and demand constant connectivity, Sulata Note is a sanctuary for your thoughts. It is a privacy-first, offline-first note-taking app built on one principle: your data belongs exclusively to you.
Every note you write is stored only on this device inside your browser’s local database. There is no account to create, no server that holds your words, and no analytics watching what you type. The app loads instantly and works perfectly without an internet connection.
When you choose to move notes to another device, Sulata Note uses AES-GCM-256 end-to-end encryption. Your encryption key is derived from a cryptographically random 3-word token and never leaves your device. The relay server holds an encrypted blob for a maximum of 5 minutes and self-destructs it the moment the receiving device downloads it.
Current plan: Free
Pro unlocks pinned notes, bulk QR sync, and future features like folders and password-protected notes. Your license is verified once and stored locally — the app works fully offline after activation.
Version 1.0.7 — Built with ❤️ for every thought worth keeping.
Enter your license key to unlock Pro features. Your key is verified once and then stored locally — the app continues to work fully offline after activation.
Deactivating frees up one activation slot on your license, allowing you to activate on another device.
Your notes are stored exclusively in your browser’s IndexedDB. If you clear site data, cookies, or browser storage, your notes will be permanently deleted from this device. There is no cloud backup.
To protect yourself, use Share → Bulk Export as JSON regularly to download a backup file. You can re-import it at any time using Receive → Import from JSON. We recommend keeping a backup on a USB drive or another secure location.
When you share a note via QR, Sulata Note generates a cryptographically secure
3-word token (e.g., blue-cat-disk) using your
device’s hardware entropy source. A 256-bit AES-GCM encryption key is
then derived from this token using HKDF.
Your notes are compressed and encrypted entirely on your device before being uploaded. The server never sees your plaintext notes or your encryption key — it only holds the encrypted blob. The blob self-destructs the moment the receiving device downloads it, or automatically after 5 minutes, whichever comes first.
The receiving device either scans the QR code or types the 3-word token manually to decrypt the notes locally.
You have two options:
Sulata Note is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it is a mobile app — just without the App Store. On iOS (Safari), tap the Share button and select “Add to Home Screen”. On Android (Chrome), tap the menu and select “Install app”.
Once installed, it opens full-screen like a native app, works completely offline, and receives updates automatically in the background.
The Free tier gives you the full core experience: unlimited notes, the rich text editor, 7 color themes, full-text search, JSON backups, and single-note QR sharing.
Pro adds Pinned Notes, Bulk QR Sync (transfer your entire note library in one scan), and unlocks upcoming features like Folders (v1.1) and Password-Protected Notes (v1.2). It’s a one-time purchase — no subscription.
Yes. Your license is verified once when you activate it, then stored locally in IndexedDB. After that, Sulata Note checks validity silently in the background every 7 days if you are online — but Pro features remain fully accessible whether you are online or offline.
